this is the working text. the finalized terms ship with the app and will be lawyer-reviewed before any subscription is charged.

i. the deal.

opaline is an app and a service. you sign in with an email, you get a stylist; we get a small monthly subscription on the paid tiers. that's the entirety of the transaction.

ii. the menu.

iii. billing.

• iOS billing is handled by Apple. Android and web billing by Stripe.
• annual subscriptions are charged up front and renew annually.
• monthly subscriptions renew on the day of month you signed up.
• price changes are emailed 30 days in advance.

iv. fair use.

the Maison tier is presented as "unlimited" — in practice we hold a soft fair-use ceiling at 900 virtual try-ons per month (about 30 a day). very few users have ever come close. if you do, we'll write to you before doing anything; we won't cut you off without a conversation.

v. your closet, your photos.

anything you upload remains yours. you grant us a narrow license to process it for the service — to catalog, recommend, and render try-ons — and nothing else. we don't train shared models on your photos. you can export or delete any of it at any time.

vi. how to leave.

cancel from inside the app or from the Apple / Google / Stripe portal that issued the subscription. cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep what you paid for.

vii. refunds.

viii. what we don't promise.

she has taste, not omniscience. opaline's recommendations are offered "as is" — we don't guarantee a date will go well or a wedding will photograph perfectly. dress accordingly.
